With the mass production of Holo-Form virtual reality devices making them easy to find and afford, online virtual reality games have become commonplace.  From sports to cooking, roleplaying to fashion, gaming companies boast that they have a game fro any user.  One company, however, claims to have created the game of all games, a game that surpasses all genres in such a way that it is fully enjoyable for any player, regardless of their age or skill level.  They call their game "deuxYOU."

When starting deuxYOU, the player is immersed into a second world and an entirely new life...

Unfortunately, there are groups against this game, deciding that it ruins family life and endangers others. These extremists think that, because of the almost addictiveness of this game, those that play it ignore the responsibilities that home life, and general life, presents; many people have grown so accustomed to being in this virtual world that they believe themselves indestructible or able to use skills otherwise impossible resulting in people disobeying the law (believing themselves above it), and sometimes even deaths.

These cases, however, are rare enough for the game’s creators to pass off the incidents as nothing more than unfortunate accidents.

This has only fuelled the hatred of the game for those that were already against it, and their protests have grown more violent; they have attacked internet cafes, and other public places where deuxYOU can be played. These, however, are easy to prevent with arrests, so these rebels took to hiring hackers, to attack the game from the inside.

This has been a much more effective tactic, and soon servers crashed all over this internet community. Firewalls have prevented too much damage, but the damaged system has trapped players within the game.

You, as one of these players, need to fight and complete various tasks to enable your freedom; to escape from the game back into real life.
